Christmas NOTE:

With Christmas just around the corner, retailers and couriers will scramble more than ever to get product moving. Order early to avoid the rush, potential courier delays, and ultimately Christmas disappointment.

Not sure what to get for that special curler in your life? You can’t go wrong with an HCS E-Gift Card so your curler can purchase exactly what they desire.

Our standard is to ship orders within 1 - 3 processing days.  We will contact you immediately if there are back orders and assist you with possible substitution ideas to ship quicker.

It is important to note:  Once products leave our shipping department, we must rely on couriers to get them into our customer's hands as quickly and efficiently as possible.  With increased online shopping, couriers are striving to keep up to the demand. Remember even couriers struggle with staffing issues, and weather can play a huge role in getting your order on time.

To be on the safe side, we recommend ordering your Christmas gifts now, and give the couriers at least two full business weeks to get your order to you.

Canadian orders are shipped from Nova Scotia directly to your door (or the location of your choice within Canada).  

We charge a flat shipping rate of $14.95 for ground service within Canada.  Delivery takes from 3 - 7 business days, 8-10 days for Labrador, and up to 14 days for the Yukon, North West Territories, and Nunavut.

Shipping times are based on business days and do not include weekends, holidays or the day the parcel ships.  

Our service standard is to have orders shipped within 1 – 2 business days of receiving the order. Please allow 1 - 2 business days (excluding the day the order was placed) for the issuance of a tracking number. Severe weather may also delay delivery.

Your parcel will be delivered to you by UPS for Urban areas, Purolator for Rural areas, and Canada Post for remote locations and the Canadian territories. Please email us if you prefer your order to be sent by another delivery method.

Special requests may increase the delivery time and shipping cost.

Rush Courier Services

As a general guide, rush courier service rates range from $40 to $80 or more, depending on the destination, size, and the parcel's weight.  Since a vast majority of curlers order from our site to save money, rush courier service defeats the entire purpose. 

Air shipments also result in carbon emissions, which are 3 to 5 times higher than shipping by Ground Service.  Due to the extremely low demand for rush courier service and the environmental impact, we have discontinued this service, other than in areas where ground service is unavailable and in exceptional circumstances.

Remote Locations

Remote locations are areas that have no year-round road or ferry service connections to provincial highways. Isolated regions of Northern Ontario and Northern Quebec takes 6 days for delivery. For the territories, the delivery may take up to 14 Days. 

 

High Arctic and Extreme Remote Locations

Due to the expiration of a cost-sharing program, we regret that we can no longer subsidize shipments going to the High Arctic and other extremely remote locations that can only be supplied by Air Stage Service.  The shipping rate for these areas is $35.00.

These places currently include the entire territory of Nunavut and the towns of Norman Wells, NWT and Fort Good Hope, NWT.

 

USA

Your parcel will be delivered by United Parcel Service  (UPS).

We charge a flat rate of $17.95 for orders delivered to the 48 contiguous states.  Delivery takes from 3 - 7 business days.  

To partially offset the additional shipping costs, shipments to Alaska and Hawaii incur a surcharge of $20.  We will waive this fee when you purchase more than $249 worth of goods.  Helpful Hint: Combine your order with other team or club members to eliminate the surcharge.

International (Outside Canada & USA)

Although we accept orders placed with billing addresses outside Canada and the USA, we can only ship to addresses in Canada or the USA.

Unfortunately, shipping costs for parcel service to destinations outside Canada and the USA have become prohibitive, in addition to other logistical issues.

The following curling vendors reside in the European Union or European Free Trade Zone and will be better able to serve the needs of the European market.

Back Orders
/ Discontinued Items

For items on backorder and discontinued items, we update the website on a timely basis.  However, inherent delays in the supply chain may, on rare occasions, allow the ordering of a back-ordered or discontinued item before it can be removed or updated on the website.

We will notify you of back-ordered / discontinued items within 24-36 hours (excluding weekends).  You have the option of holding the shipment until the back-ordered item arrives in stock, substituting for another item, cancelling the back-ordered/discontinued item, or cancelling the entire order if you wish.  Your order total will be adjusted accordingly.

If we receive no correspondence from you by phone or email within 5 business days, the remainder of the order (excluding the back-ordered item(s), will be shipped, and we will refund you for the unavailable item(s).  

You always have the option to re-order the out-of-stock item(s) once it becomes available.  However, this will be considered as a new order, and all applicable charges will apply.

Please note that backorders are few and far between; however, we advise that customers order early to allow for any possible delays. 

Refused Shipments

We ask that you follow our return policy for faster processing, as refused shipments may take up to 3 weeks to be returned to our warehouse, causing a delay in processing your credit and incurring administrative fees.

We incur additional shipping charges on all refused shipments from our customers.  If there is an error on our part or by the shipping company due to a returned parcel, these shipping fees will be refunded or credited along with the cost of the item(s) purchased. 

If, through no fault of HTTP Web Sales or the courier company, the shipment is refused by the customer, all shipping charges (both directions) will be deducted from your refund upon return receipt of the merchandise.  Also, a 15% administrative fee will be charged to cover restocking, and courier recovery fees.

Accepting the shipment and emailing or calling for an RMA number is standard business practice and is designed to reduce the cost and to speed up the processing of refunds for the customer.  Please refer to the detailed instructions for all returns at return instructions.
